Has anyone been to the Lion King musical with young children?
My first thought was that, a 2.5 hour show would be too much for a 5 year old.
But the trailers seem fascinating ... my lil one saw a bit of the trailer and immediately wanted to go to the show.

We went with three kids aged 13,8 and 5 and all were mesmerized for the entire show.

Went to see it on Sunday and had a little boy (maybe 5) sitting right behind me. He was so excited and for the first 30 minutes kept asking questions or commented on the show. Can't say it bothered me; actually found myself smiling at some of his observations and enjoyed his amazement. Later, I saw he sat on the edge of the seat , eyes fixed on the stage for the rest of the show.
I'm sure your child will love the whole experience -it's so different from watching TV or going to the cinema.

Fantastic show and took mine aged 8 and 11. They loved it, thought it was amazing. There were plenty of younger children in the audience who were equally enthralled. Even if they don't completely follow the story, the costumes, imagery, music and movement and dance are worth it alone.
