Just wondering if any working mums out there can recommend any infant care options.  I will need to return to work after 3 months and not sure whether to put my child into an infant care centre (I work in the CBD & live nearby) or whether to try a childminder.  Getting a maid isn't an option as I would like to leave my child only with a qualified childcare provider and I have heard some bad reports.  Any advice would be most appreciated - thanks!

I think you will find that the vast majority of childminders here are not qualified either so if that is a key criteria for you then a childcare centre will be a better option. There are some centres in the CBD if you want to have the baby close by but he/she will be in an air-conditioned environment all day with very little outdoor activity when he/she is older.

You can find a local nanny who is likely to be a mother/grandmother but not formally qualified.
