Singapore must be the only country in which foreigners can expect to just waltz in and get a job! I wish I can do that in the US or UK or Europe.

even China, India, Malaysia, Philipines won't allow foreigners to waltz in easily w/o restraint.

If it wasn't for the foreigners I wouldn't have anyone applying for my software engineer vacancies.  Uniquely Singapore!

I got selected in a government firm in Singapore. My interviewer was very happy with my skill sets and he himself said that it was difficult to find a person with good knowledge on the domain.

That's precisely the problem. Your employer is a government firm. You'll probably have better luck elsewhere. I am familiar with the hiring practices of government firms and MOM tends to be much stricter with them with regards to hiring non-Singaporeans.

Hi! I have the same case as you. My EP has been rejected twice. My employer has been very supportive so it's on appeal again. But it has already been 4 weeks and it is still pending. The MOM only stated that some requirements weren't met that's why my pass was rejected.

what's the monthly salary?
what's your race?
what's the position?

We can usually tell you what's wrong with just those answers. And in most cases, only the first two matter.
