Hello All,

I'm in need of some help regarding obtaining a LTVP Visa. My partner & I are re-locating from the UK in 2 months.
My partner has been offered a job and has been granted an EP, however, I've been unable to find work at this stage and need to apply for the LTVP.

We have to declare our Common-Law Spouse status by way of letter from our embassy - I've tried to establish what is needed and who we need to sign the letter and to date have been unsuccessful.

Can anyone please advise what is information is required and who has to sign the letter i.e. The Singapore Embassy in London or the British Embassy in Singapore?

Thank you for your help.

Kind Regards,
James.

things have changed but I applied for the LTVP when I arrived here. My (now) husband came out and I followed 3 months later. I went to the British High Comm here and asked for the letter. I honestly cannot remember what info I had to provide (it was 12 years ago) but I think you may find something if you look on the web site for the British High Comm here. Think I had to pay something like $75 for it.

Things like details of your joint bank account showing both your names, or utility bills addressed to you both, things that proove you have a de-facto joint relationship.  Getting an LTSVP is not a given and you may only get a short term toutist visa.  Thinsg are getting more difficult, will also depend on the type of EP your boyfriend has.
