Any advice as to which embassy is helpful and efficient for schengen visa processing? Thanks

I was under the impression that you can't choose which embassy to go for processing.  I thought it was either the first Shengen country that you enter or the Shengen country that you are staying the longest.

it most certainly is the embassy of the country where you enter the Schengen area.

Have done it for  out FDW for Denmark (although entering through KLM transfer at Schipol but ending up in Denmark) and France. Both were OK with the right documentation. Be preparted for a lot of paperwork, but if you meet their criteria, it will be OK
