Singapore is no a great exporter.
Petrochemicals are negotiated in USD therefore there is no reason why SGD should not be greater than the Swiss Franc. Prices could fall without the pain. This would also make all of those  imports cheaper.

best currency is without any doubt the NOK : Norwegian Kroner.
because of Oil and gas, first proccutor of renewable energy in europe, the richest country in the world oljefunn : 600 Billion Euros.
I lived their until now, I am moving to Singapore next month. and I can tell you they even didn t know there were a crisis in the world.
