any ideas about places to take a toddler during the heat of the day?

I don't want to go to a mall..
gymboree seems to be closed..
the pool area is in full sun..
we will go for a walk in the gardens, but not until 5pm..

but my 1 year old wants very much to get out of the house now!

any ideas???

We've got a squash court at our condo which is underused.  So during the heat of the day or when it's wet we go there with all the soft balls and have a good kick around.
