Hi ...we have just moved back and our shipping is due any day with our lovely sony flat screen tv. We have had two opinions from different shops, one says it will work here the other guy says no way. Can anyone clarify?
Thanks in advance.

It depends on which model you have. I have a UK Sony TV and I can get the picture but not the sound through the aerial socket, however using the AV inputs, (phono or SCART), I can get both from the cable box but not in stereo.
My Japanese Sony TV will pick up both sound and picture from either aerial or AV, but not in stereo.
I got round this problem by buying a cheap, ($129), VCR with a Nicam decoder from Harvey Norman. I can now get everything in stereo.
Sorry I can't be more precise.

We've found that by subscribing to Cable here our TV's work through the set top box .  TV didn't work at all prior to cable connection
