You're seriously a sincere newbie in SIngapore, i tend to agree that its all up to a persons lifestyle that fits the country of choice.

People say Singapore is boring becoz they are boring themselves, they do not have enough zest for life to try new things, they are not interested to have an open mind, it's their problem.

The other side also likes Singapore, probably mostly from under developed contries such as Southeast Asia who have never seen an aircraft before.

They are others who like singapore, becoz they come mainly from crime ridden countys and bulk at the sight of gun detector at school .

SIngapore appeals to most sorts of characters both boring and juveniles, some get jailed for causing mischiefs and smuggling drugs.

Singapore has a place, for everyone. even for boring people. U're just at the tip of the iceberg.

You can check out InterNations- a non profit worldwide expat organization with a very active group and great monthly meetups in Singapore. Mostly young professionals, and their events -usually at some great locations- are good for meeting people and making friends. Google it.

Singapore is the same as anywhere. If you need to go anywhere else, just make the effort.

Welcome to Singapore!
