He is NOT Singaporean!!!! These schools are vastly oversubscribed by citizens and PR's alike - as are the good neighbourhood schools. The stark truth is that as an EXPAT, his daughter will only get into schools that Singaporeans and PR's don't want their children going to. It is what it is, and Simon needs to base his choices and decisions on the truth not the stuff that you and Scorn (if you are not the same person) are spouting.
What I was trying to say is that he can send his non-Singaporean child to any neighbourhood school which has vacancies, and if his child does well in the PSLE, he/she would still be able to enter ACS/Raffles because admission into secondary school is based on your PSLE score, not on your nationality.
Many ACS/Raffles (secondary school) students were from neighbourhood schools, and these same students are able to excel academically even without the help of tuition. My point is - it doesn't matter if OP isn't able to get his child into the "top" primary schools. imo, the "top" primary schools aren't that different from the neighbourhood schools. At this age, imo, it is more important to provide your child with a well-rounded education instead of focusing too much academically.
