Leaving Sing for shanghai early next year.Hubby tranfer Sad to leave Singapore, but never been to Shanghai. Can anyone give advice about daily living and helpful advice to the kids  ( who are reluctant to leave Sing) What's it like for families? Reading about local things to do seems exciting but also seeing a long list of scams and wondering what to feel at this point. But separating the family is not an option for us. Is it a lot different from Singapore?  Huh

Apart from freezing winters, language issues, pollution, food issues, rude local, length of commute and traffic jams.

Get past that and you'll be laughing.

I was there in July this year for a visit.  It's not bad, very modern and you'll see lots of expats and Western food places.  Avoid peak hours because of the crowds.  English is not so widely spoken but you'll get many wanting to practise their language skills with you.
