we would like to take some visitors to see (and maybe dine or have some drinks at) the skypark at marina bay sands.  besides ku de ta which has gotten mixed reviews (expensive with mediocre food), are there other restaurants or bars up there?

If we were to dine at another MBS restaurant NOT at the skypark, would we have free access to the skypark afterwards or do we still need to purchase tickets?

any recommendations/suggestions?

thanks.

There's only Ku De Ta at the top...... the restaurant on one side and a separate bar closer to the middle. If you eat at another place in MBS you can always head up to the bar just for a drink, though you'll need to be properly dressed and I think still go to the lobby to get access.

Fair play, maybe I thought that was what the Ku De Ta restaurant also was. I only saw the two places at the time certainly but I didn't really have the interest in investigating in detail Wink

There is also Chocolate Bar on other side of Sky Park from Ku De Ta.  It is all inclusive desert bar with absolutely beautiful chocolate everything.  Price is $45 pp and wine/champagne also available.  Considering $20 to go up there, a good deal and nice way to enjoy view and desert.  Only open from 8:00 p.m.

the whole area of Marina Bay Sands is a rip off joint.
It caters for ripping of tourists and Rich people of Singapore.

When I enquired about New years Eve I was told you had to spend a minimum cost whether you ate/drank or not just for the seats and I had to vacate by a certain time. how ridiculous can it be okay for the Rich and famous though

It's a business, not a waiting room

Whether it's travel, restaurants, watches, clothes, whatever - different people will be able to afford different things.  Your gripe seems to be that you/your hubby/by doesn;t earn enough.
