We are moving to Singapore and in the British system. My daughter is on the list for TTS and about to embark on GCSE studies (14). I am looking for a school where she can begin her studies and then transfer across to TTS.

Which is the best school for this purpose. I am looking at Chatsworth as I think this is the only possibility? Thanks for time.

Not good to transfer mid-GCSE.  Schools may be using a different syllabus, teachers  may be teaching syllabus in a different order.  It's unlikely your child will perform to their potential if you do this.  Presumably she has already started GCSEs if she is 14.  I know it's only a term but if you think most of the course is taught in the first four terms, she's already done about a quarter of the syllabus.  Do her a favour and stick with the same school until the end of her GCSEs then think about transferring in 6th Form.  Most schools do the IGCE out here (apart from Tanglin) so the syllabus will be different.  You could try Chatsworth, ISS, OFS, although I think the last two might have moved completely over the MYP.  Perhaps a parent from the schools could comment.  I doubt UWC would take you mid course, having missed a term but I could be wrong.

So nowhere else in Singapore offers GCSEs but TTS? Seems strange given number of schools? I mean IGCSEs are different.

most international schools are catering to an international population and as far as I know, only the UK do GCSEs.

IGCSEs are the international version of the GCSEs but not all schools offer them because not all parents want or need their kids to do them.  Tanglin are the only British school that I know of (unless Dover Court follow the British Curriculum - which I'm not sure about).  If Tanglin are the only ones here who do GCSEs then that will be why.

If a school is following the IB then they may offer exams for students aged around 16 such as IGCSEs and/or the American High School Diploma etc but they're not strictly necessary for the IBDP from what I understand.  I've read that the IBDP only have the one certificate at the end, when the student is 18........they study for this final set of exams and I'm pretty sure they don't have exams at 16 years as we do in many of our home countries (although I admit, I could be wrong about that)

IB schools sometimes offer external exams at age 16 because many expat parents want their children to have them in case they go back to their home countries (where the IBDP may not be widely available) - which is fair enough - your children may be going back home minus qualifications if you had to move on when they were around 16 years old and if the IBDP was not an option for them to continue with.

Tanglin does igcse's and gcse's.You would find it difficult to transfer over if there isn't a match.
