Very good Italian deli on Rail Mall.  Can't remember the name of it but you turn right as you turn off Upper Bukit Timah and it's on the corner.  Excellent food.

There is also a good Italian restaurant on Chu Lin Road called La Noce.

La Noce has been closed a while, that location on Chu Lin Road now houses an Italian place called Cacio e Pepe. It's quite good. I believe that they also have an outlet on Upper Paya Lebar. We enjoy the Thai place at Rail Mall, which is a sister restaurant of Epicurious, next door to that is Cedele which is okay for lunch, or the Italian Deli mentioned above, Galbiati. Galbiati is pretty good, they have a surprisingly good breakfast on the weekends. Other than that, there's not a lot going on out that way (we've lived on Hillview now for 2 years). The Thai place in that stretch of eateries opposite Beauty World is good.

thanks - anyone know the name of the Thai place opposite Beauty World?   Has it been crashed down with all the construction?

Hi, it's a tad further to go, on the way to Turf City, but we love Picotins!

Thanks!  Oh we know the one as we discovered that strip of restaurants and ate at Peperoni's the other day.  We saw the little cake shop and it looked popular with locals.
