7k Aussies immigrated to Singapore last year. Given Singapore's size and population, Singapore probably has the second highest concentration of Aussies in the world after Aotearoa. straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/Singapore/Story/STIStory_738845.html Peter Breitkreutz states he has no intention of returning to Australia. BTW Peter has a really Jewish/German last name. I like his last name.

Now Singapore has the most Australians after Australia? Based on what? The massive assumptions of a stupid local journo who doesn't seem to grasp the concept that the vast majority of people moving to Singapore are Dependent pass holders, following an expat on an employment pass - and that none of them stay permanently? Of course, this is normal behaviour for the local press. They are trying to tell Singaporeans that Australia is not the destination they think it is - after all, the Australians are all coming here! - so that the mindless sheeple in Singapore will all stop trying to migrate there. More fool you, James.

And they are replacing the ones who went home last year.

Immigrants become citizens. How many SG citizens gave up their AU passports? A handful, maybe.
Don't confuse resident expats with immigrants.
Having said that, Aussies and Kiwis are the cheap white labor of Asia (along with South Africans). Americans, Germans, Brits cost real money.

More fool you, James. After New Zealand. Highest concentration, not high number. Haha, people like you are just sooooo defensive and pathetic. I just found the article interesting so I posted it. And immediately you began foaming at your mouth and went off on a tangent. You must be a bald fatty with a long history of drug abuse, that would explain your inability to read and think. Well, it is true, there are more Australians in S'pore than there are S'poreans in Australia. Go and smash your own balls.

This is simply not true.
Australia has the highest concentration.
Then New Zealand.
Singabore comes a poor third.

I still am quite perplexed over whether that is a good or bad thing.

For the real, highly concentrated Aussies, one needs to head to some of the smaller rural outposts in Australia. Fair dinkum.
Sadly many of the ones living in Singapore are more 'world citizens'. The kind of watered-down Aussie expat that probably takes himself too seriously.
Take him to the pub James, for a Sunday session, with a footy game or cricket test on one telly and Steve Irwin's Xmas special on another, a few coldies and a bit of playful ribbing, and he'll come good.

There is no way Sing as more Aussies than London at any given time..
And as for the article "88,000 departures last year, nearly double the number a decade earlier. About half of those who left were Australian-born" -that means 44000 aussies were leaving.. At the same time, the number of people moving to Australia dropped 9 per cent to 127,458 in the past year"
It seems to be more people are moving to Australia, than "Australian born" who are LEAVING..

Given how the infrastructure is breaking down and the quality of life is nose diving, you are doing a fantastic job instilling the Australian ways.
