I've seen it in Cold Storage and Carrefour but beware - very expensive here - I think they must tax it like alcohol to make it cost that much.  I know it does have some alcohol in it but they don't seem to realise that people don't drink it on its own like they would a glass of sherry.

Its 44.7% alcohol.  Any good wine and spirit shop will have it.

What is it used for, other than to make a pink gin? And then only a few drops are used to stain the glass, surplus thrown away.

You can't make a decent Rum Punch without this stuff.

Oops, can't spell my own name - on the subject of rum punch, anyone care to share their recipe?  Had it in Barbados many years ago and loved it!  I know you must use mount gay (Barbados) rum...

Any dark rum will do, but Mount Gay is one of the better ones that is readily available here.

The time honoured recipe is

"One of sour (lime)
Two of sweet (sugar syrup)
Three of strong (rum)
and Four of weak (fruit juice)."

And, of course, a big splash of bitters!

Cheers!
