The yearly season is overhyped and commercialised. Crazy consumerism and forced gaiety at its peak. Ugly competition (@ parking lots, trying to jump long queues at cash registers, ugly grabbing and wrecked remnants of store displays) brought to the fore.

No one should need a seasonal excuse to show appreciation, love or to buy gifts.

Rudolph the song sums it all up for me - far too many people need to prove they're special and demonstrate clout just to gain friendship. Before they attract like-minded, similar shallow company.

SAD.

Hope and peace to all, whatever you celebrate.
May the new 2012 be a more enlightening one.

But it's also about traditions, remembering old traditions with generations past and celebrating those traditions with generations future. I miss my family most !!!
