I have tried 2 bottles of shampoo, local brand from Malaysia, for headlice but it didn't work. What should I do?
Thanks

A nit comb, lashings of gloopy conditioner and a lot of parental devotion, according to previous postings here.

We have all had headlice over the past years (occupational hazard for parents of youngsters)
and what has always worked for us is, as pp said, lots of conditioner - cheap type fine - and a proper nit comb. Thoroughly go over the head not missing any bit of the scalp. You can do this every 3rd day and it will still work, but you do need to keep at it for about 2 weeks I agree.
Good luck! This method is successful and avoids nasty chemicals - just need a bit of dedication.

ditto the conditionder. we had a very bad case of nits and tried everything and conditioner with the nit comb was the only thing that worked.

I agree - conditioner and proper nit comb.  I think I got my nit comb from Mustafa but Watsons and Guardian should have them too.

Where I'm from they often don't sell the headlice shampoo any more because the lice develop immunity to it- conditioning and combing is what they tell you when you go to the pharmacy about it.

Hi, none of the stuff sold over the counter here works, plus it's really nasty chemicals (same thing as in cockroach spray).
You definitely need the conditioner and the best comb out there is the 'nitty gritty' gets rid of the eggs too. Order online from the UK, it gets here in a couple of days, and it's cheap. Trust me, I tried everything...

The other thing that helps is the buzzy comb which electrocutes the lice and nits that you miss with the normal lice comb and conditioner.  Agree re the chemicals, best to avoid, my daughters lymph nodes were swollen due to constant use of lice shampoo.
