I truly appreciate all the posters who have helped me to decipher the dream. I think some parts are really accurate. Though I'm not sure about the part about me leading and guiding..haha. I need guidance myself, pretty directionless at the moment. As for dreams not being premonitions, I could only say it's about 70% true. because there were a few times I dreamt of something, and guess what? the thing kinda happened the next day or withing next couple of days/ weeks. For instance, once I dreamt of meeting an old teacher, and funnily 2 days later I saw my teacher in the MRT. Is that coincidence or what? Therefore even though I'm sceptical, significant dream do prick me quite a bit. If dreams are just a reflection of your state of mind, then it's difficult to explain things which happen just like what was in those dreams only AFTER (think 'coincidence').

It depends really. The nature of your dream for one. Violent dreams for instance, may reflect of your current state of mind. It could be your subconscious talking to you. Recurring dreams. But yes, I believe in premonitions.

zhouhaochen: you are way off base.  Freuding 'psychology' has no basis in emprical science and has been throughly discreditied by mainstream pyschology.

Sure, you study it a little in psychology 101 or similar to give you a grounding in the historical context of the evoloution of psychology but it's old hat. Stick to speaking on topics which you have authority, no offering widely <inaccurate> opinions.

Last night I dreamt I was drowning and couldn't breathe.  Why?  I think it's only because I'm incredibly busy at work (I would like to add I'm a British lady), and believe that every dream anyone has is a result of their day's experience -  it is that simple!
