The marketing company sent about 90 mystery shoppers to nearly 400 retail outlets in these 30 cities.
The mystery shoppers gave Orchard Road the high scores in all the judging categories and received a total of 89 points out of 100. The four categories looked at the cleanliness of the streets and retail outlets, the quality of the retail staff and the friendliness of passers-by.

PC Hoofstraat number 3? I know enough. This is just another inane list concocted by some wannabe group of retards, most likely advertising executives, in dire need of publicity. How does it work? 1. Conceive of a dumb list. 2. Make sure the list is controversial by peppering the winners with a complete loser. 3. Sit back and enjoy the melee. Singapore's malls are awesome. PC Hoofstraat's malls... Oh, that's right, PC Hoofstraat doesn't have any malls.

How exactly are Singapore's malls awesome? They all have the same shops in them and they are all overcrowded to the point of bursting on weekends.

Anyone who thinks a mall can be 'awesome' should really get a life.

The heading is Orchard Road is the number 1 shopping street, not individual Malls.
Based on the whole road i think there is some merit in this assumption.

Singapore is definitely a paradise and there are not enough superlatives to capture the greatness of this island state. Soon, the Singapore government will have to introduce a lottery system for the millions of foreigners who want to live here.

Then why does everyone in them look so dour and miserable? I really noticed this after being overseas for Christmas and New Year - everyone just looks so miserable - they are like atmosphere vacuums. How many Singaporeans do you know who are "Characters" - they are all miserable dour clones

Yep, Orchard Road probably does look pretty impressive but seriously, how many Giordano's, Watson's, Breadtalk, does one street need. Not to mention Gucci, Chanel LV.........
