Can anyone recommend a good Japanese cookbook that features their whole range of food?
I saw some Japanese cookbooks at cold storage and wonder if they are good (ie feature authentic recipes?) I was keen on buying their Japanese sushi and Japanese favourites cookbooks.

In my opinion, the single best English language cookbook on Japanese cuisine is "Japanese Cooking: A Simple Art" by Shizou Tsuji.

There's a really good 'homecooking' book called Harumi's home cooking or something along those lines. I know they sell it in Kinokuniya at Ngee Ann. I would stay clear of the cold storage ones if you want authentic.
