What programmes / DVDs are your 4-5 year olds watching? We're well past Barney and Dora and I don't want to go down the Ben 10 route.

Mine are 3 & 5 & a girl and a boy & we are into Mary Poppins, Sound of Music, Wizard of Oz and some of the old classic movies.
Apart from that, theres always Tom & Jerry and spongebob. Annoying but harmless

Little Einsteins is a TV favourite as are Special Agent Oso and Chuggington. Anything on Disney Junior will be suitable. Nickelodeon is a different kettle of fish. My 7 year old daughter likes a few programmes on Nickelodeon but I have to monitor it carefully as some of it just isn't appropriate for her and definitely not for the younger two. My youngest went through a stage of being scared of Scooby Doo so you need to watch out!
For movies Toy Story, Madagascar & Kung Fu Panda.
