Can anyone recommend a good place to stay on Phi Phi?  I've stayed in many places around that part of Thailand but never gone to Phi Phi itself - some people seem to love it and some say it's not nice and full of partying backpackers so I'm never really sure whether to go there.

Who can give me a bit of info on Phi Phi?  We like smallish hotels with beach access and a few nearby places to eat but not really pumping music and rowdy drunk people..................20 years ago that would have been great, but not now   Wink

I've heard that the Ton-Sai area is a bit of a party beach - where else is there to stay that's a bit away from all of that?

Does anyone know a reasonable quick way like a direct Ferry that can take me from Koh Samui to Phi Phi Dom?

what like the duck tour in Singapore?

I suggest you pull up Google Maps ASAP.  There's the small matter of a lump of land in between Samui and Phi Phi that may cause a few problems for your direct ferry.  It's called the Thai mainland   Grin

Holiday inn on laemtong beach.  Peaceful and relaxing, just the sound of the longboats and the waves lapping the shore.  You can get a beachfront cabin.
