I have a diamond ring in need of repair. Looking for a good, honest jeweler. Not only for repairs, but a proper place for purchases too    I live in the East Coast; however, jeweler does not need to be located in the East.

I suggest going to your local shopping center with the ring and asking for a quote from several jewellers to get the market price. Carry the ring around with you so you can pop into any jeweller and ask for a quote too. Once you know the range in which a jeweller will charge, you will have better bargaining power.

All big name jewellers, the kind located in shopping centers, should be trustworthy.
