Hi
Can anyone tell me where I can buy plastic plates and cups for a kid's birthday party? I'm looking for the colourful, picnic type ones which can be re-used rather than the disposable ones. I've tried Ikea and Cold Storage but no luck.

Thanks in advance

Which Cold Storage did you try? The ones I go to almost always have those reusable plastic plates & cups. Anyway, how about having a look at Giant? They sometimes have them. Otherwise, get the el cheapo paper plates and use several together then chuck them afterwards. If you don't mind the cost, invest in some picnic ware from one of the department stores or, if you have time, order it online from overseas.

Wink  Yup, I second the Cold Storage option (seen in Kallang Leisure park, 5th avenue).  Under the Kitchenware department, they sell sets of 3 "Sistema" beakers and plates separately. Made in NZ, BPA freem in blue, silver and purple.  Great alternate to the single use plastic type.

If you still can't find what you're looking for - maybe try Daiso as well?

Just been in there today - they have lots of party plates etc and some really pretty ones for girls and also lots of designs for boys.  They also have a great selection of forks, spoons, etc etc if you don't want to risk anything getting broken or damaged.  I think i also saw some re-useable stuff as well.  Certainly worth a look

I'm the OP - thanks for the tips. I found what I was looking for.

To PP, no I don't post when the car needs petrol. What's your point? I can either spend days visiting countless stores to find what I'm looking for or I can post online and ask if anyone knows where I can find what I need. Isn't that the point of this board? As a busy working mother, I choose to save time and ask around.
