Some family friends (with two very young children), will be having a 5 hour layover in Changi on a Sunday afternoon.  As we live on the other side of the island, I don't think that bringing them to our house is an option.  Any ideas for helping our friends to relax during the layover and letting our kids play together either in Changi or the surrounding area?

Mo3,

Pasir Ris Recreation Park (dunno the real name) is nearby so you can frolic around on the beach with the whole family. Or the Changi Chapel, for some lessons in Singapore WW II history, and then finish it off with some chili crabs in East coast!

Cheers!

Oasir Ris is great but the foodstalls don't open until 6ish.
SAFRA is open to the general public and has good play equipment and a pretty average beach.  Food and beer plentiful though!

Depends on what time they're coming in though - but you could bring them to Serangoon Gardens/ Katong for a nice meal. (it's really not that far from the airport)
but with 5hrs. you could drive around
1) serangoon road
2) orchard... (cancel that, traffic will kill, unless it's late & you get to see the decorations?)
3) chijmes/raffles hotel
("professional" tour guide for many friends and the like, so mail me if you want more help)
