I'd like to visit Perth for a few weekends to see an ailing friend. Anyone flown Scoot to Perth and back? Any good? Any opinions or experiences.

It's cheap which will make the visits possible compared to hundreds per flight on SIA.

We have flown it a few times.  It is fine and we like it better than Jetstar as a comparison.

It's a worldwide trend - everyone wants things cheaper and lots are getting things cheaper.

The recent Malaysian budget airline's mechanical issues and the pilot telling the passengers to pray wasn't a great advertisement for budget flying.

So, the question that needs to be asked where the airlines are cutting backs to give you (what the locals) refer to as "you wan' cheap cheap".

That being said, it's a SIA offshoot and so that's a good thing. I hope.

The airhostesses are almost all from mainland China.

There are times when the flight's delayed and the airline can't give a fat rat's cloaca.

Just google the reviews about it and you come away feeling unnerved.
