My 11 year old daughter is going to be my flower girl in my wedding soon.  Any ideas of where to buy a suitable pretty dress for her?  Thanks!

I saw a "fancy" girls dress shop in the mall at Tanglin...3rd floor I think.

Colette at Forum Mall has flower girl dresses. I would imagine they are very pricey, though.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

Moonsoon would be perfect if you want a pretty dress without it being too 'over the top'. Your daughter could then wear it again as it wouldn't scream 'wedding'.
I've noticed that what is on offer from many stores here is rather too satiny/lacy/over decorated, ( can't think of the correct term for this... want to say 'Chinese-y, but that would be perhaps a tad perjorative?). Wink

OP here - thanks for all the great suggestions and the congratulations!  I'll check out these shops in the coming week.  I think I know the one in Tanglin Mall but they don't have much for older girls.  Will have another look though!  Thanks again!

not sure Monsoon will have much in their range suitable for an 11 yr old either.

Thought about getting something made? I did that for a friends wedding recently. Chose some fabric and took it to a dressmaker in Holland Village along with my fave dress and she copied it for me. It was very reasonable too.
Good luck and enjoy your day:-)

Practically every shop at the Delfi on Orchard is a wedding shop.  They have lots for bridesmaids of all ages (as well as brides, of course).  Don't know what you want to pay but you will at least find some good ideas there.

I had a flower girl dress made for my daughter when she was four.  I bought the fabric from People's Park (cream satin with a sheer overlay) and used Sharon the dressmaker in Tanjong Pagar Plaza.  She lined it with silk for me and it was perfect, not too over the top and it was very reasonably priced.
