Does your Singaporean auto insurance cover you for damages, etc. when you rent a car abroad?

Ring your insurance company and ask.  Radical I know, but worth a try ......

Only In Malaysia, if your policy specifically states this. Do as PP has suggested, in any case, and get on the blower.

Insurance is linked to a car, not specifically a person who can be stated as only 'The Driver' either named or open.

When you rent a car abroad, the company (Avis/Hertz/etc.) asks if you want insurance..... suppose you never wondered why, before?
